Simply plug the lamp dimming smart plug into a standard outlet, connect your lamp, and you’re ready to control your lighting from the wall, the app, or your voice assistant.
What’s in the Kit
- Lamp Dimming Smart Plug (PD-3PCL-WH): Controls up to two table or floor lamps, supporting a total of 150W of dimmable LED or 300W of incandescent/halogen bulbs per plug. Plugs directly into a standard outlet — no wiring required. Features LED+ technology for superior dimming performance. When installed within 30 ft of a Smart Hub, extends the system’s wireless range by an additional 30 ft.
- Pico Original Smart Remote for Dimmers: Controls one or many Caséta lamp dimming smart plugs from almost anywhere in your home. Can be wall-mounted — no wiring needed — or placed on a tabletop with the enclosed pedestals.
- Smart Hub: Unlocks the full power of the Caséta system so you can manage your system with the Lutron app or voice assistant. Integrates with leading smart home devices and enables advanced control features like scenes, schedules, and Smart Away.
- Install Essentials: Includes Smart Hub power supply and an ethernet cable — everything you need to get started.

Construction & Interface
The PD-3PCL-WH lamp dimming smart plug features four buttons: tap to turn light on, press to raise light level, press to lower light level, and tap to turn light off. Designed for table and floor lamp applications — no wall box, no neutral wire, no wiring of any kind required.
Setup
Plug the lamp dimming smart plug into a standard outlet and connect your lamp. Connect the Smart Hub to your router via the included ethernet cable. Use the Lutron app to pair devices, create scenes, set schedules, and enable voice assistant control. Pair the Pico remote directly to the plug for tabletop or wall-mounted control at a second location.
